In 1989, Mr. Li Weide founded Shanghai Lighting Source Factory in Nanxiang, Jiading.(the predecessor of Shanghai Hongyuan Lighting & Electric Equipment Co.,Ltd.)
In 1993, Hongyuan was the first private enterprise who bought land for production land. The new plant began to be established.
In 1994, Hongyuan successfully developed the first national automatic production line of HPSL.
In 1995, Hongyuan successfully developed and produced the colorful series of metal halide lamp.
In 1999, Hongyuan established the official website.
In 2003, Hongyuan successfully developed LVD induction lamp.
In 2004, LVD induction lamp won China International Industrial Exhibition Gold Prize.
In 2005, Hongyuan`s LVD induction lamp was listed as the National Key New Product.
In 2008, Hongyuan signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the famous multinational company -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
In 2009, Hongyuan set up the online light fixtures display.
In 2010, Boao, China Lighting Industry Economic Forum was held and CEO Li Weide was invited to make a keynote speech on LVD induction lamp.
In 2011, Hongyuan got overall victory over Osram Co., LTD., a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens, on the patent lawsuit lasting for six years.
